What, are you serious? Me, play in your house?
I am quite serious. House Concerts are popular all over the U.S. Check out www.houseconcerts.com. Then send me an email with a link to your music if you’re interested in playing sometime.

How long will I play? What’s the schedule?
There will be a 20-minute opener that begins at 8:00 sharp. The headliner goes on at 8:30 sharp, and needs to be completely finished no later than 9:30, including a short break. If you can’t fill 45 minutes, it’s not a problem. NOTE: The best results will come from you previewing your headliner set with a short opener the month before. This is not required, but we believe that once given a small taste of your talent, people will want to come back and hear your full show.

Should I bring a PA?
No. We have a well-tuned upright piano, a vocal mic and stand, and a small amp. It’s a small room and less than 30 people, so you won’t need much. Trust me.

Can my whole band come?
They can come listen, sure. But we only have room for one or two performers at a time.

What time is load-in?
If you aren’t here by 7:30 we start making phone calls for a fill-in. Come between 7:00 and 7:15.

When do I get paid? And how much am I guaranteed?
We pass a hat during a break in your set. You get everything in the hat. There are no guarantees. Make sure your friends with good jobs know about the show...

Can I bring beer/liquor/pot/my dog/whatever?
No. None of the above. If there’s any doubt, ask.

Do you have a place I can crash?
Since you’ll be sober (it’s a no-alcohol event), you can drive home. But yeah, if you’re from out of town we would be happy to let you sleep in our guest room.

How do you decide who plays there?
I ask people who I’ve seen play out around Tulsa or OKC. And I will listen to your music and ask around about you if you are interested out of the blue. If your name appears on the list below, you have an open invitation. Email me and let’s get a date on the calendar.
